Is it okay to remove Microsoft Works on my Acer Aspire One?
I have an Acer Aspire One 532h. I was wondering if you could delete the Microsoft Works Programs and features ...? Is several megabytes in size and I do not use anything on it. Would it hurt the performance of the PC in any way? For Please & & Thanks! xoxo
Not that it does not hurt at all. Just make sure you do not use it. If you ever need a wordprocesser only to use Notepad or WordPad if available. Those listed in Start> All Programs Accessories>.

If you're in the market for a new laptop then how about considering a netbook? Top 10 netbooks sold now offer performance that is one a par with their larger cousins. If you are familiar with Windows then you might consider a netbook using the new operating system Windows 7, but if you're after of the best performance, you should try a Linux-based netbook.
Intel Atom processors are used in most netbooks. While these are not so fast as the processors found in larger notebooks that still offer great performance. The new Atom N450 CPU delivers unmatched performance. Choose always a netbook that features the latest in processing power.
The netbook will not respond to commands as desired if the Ram and storage capacity is lower par. Despite 1GB of RAM is sufficient, it would make more sense to choose a netbook that has at least 2 GB. This would ensure that it is able to perform well, even if increased demands.
