Planin im getting a laptop for my sister who is cheap, but she likes that one is better but I want one that is a good brand and good works. Well, it really depends on a lot of things like what are you using for school, games, etc. Also what operating system you use as Dell has Windows XP and Acer with Windows 7. It seems to me the technical specifications that have the same amount of memory and hard disk space. I would go with the Acer and enjoy Windows 7 that I have just recently and I like it. If you get the Acer I would like to upgrade to 2 GB of memory for Windows 7 to run smoother. So its really up to you specs but I would say the Acer is a better deal for the price.
