This is a good version of Linux for low-end computers?

I have an old laptop thats pent III 500 MHz I want to say something thing. I just need the Internet, email and word processing. What is a good version of Linux to install a low-end equipment that keeps Windows more-like interface

I have Ubuntu 6.06 on what could be the same laptop (Dell PIII) is not super fast, but it works for everything that you requested. I tried Puppy Linux, which also worked, but very naked. PIII can probably start with something better.
