770Z IBM Thinkpad 161,163 errors?
IBM took a cheap laptop that pad 770Z in a garage sale. lady says she has forgotten password. It begins with the IBM logo, indicating the amount of memory you have, then beeps twice Error 161 163. i reset battery CMOS, took the hard drive until sautered connections to a host computer ... She always asks the password anti-theft. I Click ENTER, then said ok. But after 2 or 3 seconds, it says error OK or Cancel. any button will take you to 161 errors, 163 table. So it can not access the BIOS. IBM says that for $ 130, you can replace the hard drive, but there is nothing to do?

Thinkpad T60 Intel Core Duo
The main feature of the ThinkPad T60 is that it is one of the first Centrino Duo Lenovo laptops able.? Essentially the same as your predecessor T series notebooks did. The body T60 is a plastic disk that does not bend. The magnesium reinforced lid will not flex and provides amazing protection for the screen. The keyboard does not flex - At all. Regarding ThinkVantage what is useful ... some extent.
I tried to "clean restore" the invisible WinXP partition (like Windows requires a clean install after 2 or more years of use) and gives me a crapload of errors. The trackpoint and touchpad seems to be detected, and so on. And other error messages. I could not pass finish installation. So you unhide WinXP partition and format the vacuum cleaner, has won 8 GB of hard drive space again. This is enough for a Quad boot ... Win2k, Slackware, FreeBSD and Solaris. (And they all work well with Trackpoint / Touchpad).
In all starting price is higher than comparable systems, it lacks a number of ports that are not essential but fairly standard connections. Robust, well-designed case, the elements security, extensive range of network connections, including WWAN and Bluetooth; swappable internal bay, conditions of guarantee and support reputation.
