Power / problems with the video card with my Dell XPS Gen 5?
I currently have a Platinum 256 MB ATI X850 video card. I have 4 GB of SDRAM Pentium Dual DDR 830 (3.0GHz) (which is better than the right of a Pentium 4?). Anyway, my ATI card conflicts with a number of things then I have to replace it with a card nVidia. I try to understand certain things and needs help. I have not been able to find food my PC. I talked to 3 different Dell representatives and do not know. I looked in PC and elsewhere and can not find stickers or whatever. Is there any software that can find this for me? Besides, my Gen 5 can only have 460 or 650 power. So if I could just replace 460 with 650? I see no way to enter the food supply. Anybody know where I can buy this diet? In addition, I have three 5-pin connector PCI fan that seems to be on the Fritz. It is held in place by a piece of plastic Dell. I have to buy exactly the same or have no other option?
Dell uses proprietary hardware. Therefore, it can probably not only purchasing power and connect it to your XPS. I bet that the distribution of pins is different. Your choice is to switch to the power supply 650 Watt Dell. For the fans, to get the right size, you can probably easily replace.
